The Spanish national team
The “Red Fury” are considered one of the favourites for the World Cup. In their previous match, Spain avenged their defeat to Portugal in the 2025 UEFA Nations League final.
The team intends to maintain this momentum, having become the first nation in history to go six consecutive World Cup matches without conceding a goal.
In only three of Spain’s last 15 matches have both teams scored.
The Belgian national team
The Belgians are also putting in a very respectable performance, although this was not particularly evident during the group stage. They did experience some difficulties in converting their chances.
Romelu Lukaku has not lost his ability to score goals. In ten of Belgium’s last 16 matches, an average of over 4.5 goals were scored.
Prediction for the Spain v Belgium match
The Spanish look very consistent. As things stand, Belgium will effectively be the main hurdle on the road to World Cup victory.
