One of the co-hosts of the 2026 World Cup is ready to prove itself today.

The whole of Canada is holding its breath, as the co-hosts finally take to the pitch once again to play in their second consecutive World Cup finals, having previously failed to qualify for 36 years.

For Bosnia and Herzegovina, this is their second World Cup appearance following their exit at the group stage of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil (1 win, 2 defeats). Bosnia’s path to the finals was a tough one, as they had to fight their way through the play-offs against Wales and Italy. In all ten qualifying matches, Bosnia scored at least one goal and head into the tournament on the back of an eight-match unbeaten run.

Canada v Bosnia prediction

Although Canada has home advantage and significant momentum, given the dominance of European teams over the ‘Red and Whites’ on the big stage, it would be worth considering a Bosnia draw.

One factor affecting the European side is the long flights prior to matches.
