“24 years. Over 700 professional matches. I had the chance to live out every footballer’s dream — to play for the Ukraine national team, to take to the pitch in the Europa League against Borussia Dortmund, PSG, Sevilla and other top teams. Karpaty is more than just a club. It was my home,” he explained.

At the same time, he emphasised that he is not saying goodbye to football.

Ihor Khudobyak ended his career as one of ‘Karpaty’s’ most loyal players. He is remembered not only for his statistics but also for his character — fighting until the very end, his dedication to the club and his respect for the colours.

His name will forever remain in the history of Lviv and Ukrainian football.
