Group L of the 2026 World Cup will see some decisive matches. Croatia and Ghana will face each other on 28 June at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
The Croatia national football team
The European side look quite strong. Zlatko Dalić’s side are capable of overcoming teams that are always contenders for the World Cup title and are themselves now part of that elite group.
Ante Budimir was the hero of Croatia’s match against Panama and, with his winning goal, continued an impressive run: every time he scores for his country, the team remains unbeaten.
Ghana national football team
The African side have been producing low-scoring matches. In seven of Ghana’s last nine matches, fewer than 2.5 goals were scored.
In their last nine matches, the team have failed to score before half-time.
Ghana are hoping to open the scoring early thanks to Antoine Semenyo, who is considered one of the team’s leaders.
Croatia v Ghana prediction
Both teams appear to have no new absentees in their squads.
Croatia have conceded just one goal against African teams at World Cups to date, whilst Ghana have recently been involved in low-scoring matches. It seems clear that backing Croatia is the sensible choice in this match.
