Ukrainian Yevhen Marusiak continues to perform at the world level. At the competition on 1 March, which took place in Kulm, Austria, he climbed to 25th place in the final standings for the second time this season, according to Sport Bet.

This performance was part of the programme for the 22nd stage of the Ski Flying World Cup. In addition to Marusiak, who had become the first Ukrainian to break into the top 30 in Kulm the day before, Vitaliy Kalinichenko also represented Ukraine in this stage.

On the next day of competition, during the qualification round, Yevhen Marusiak finished 38th, landing at 194 metres (152.8 points). As for the other representative of the ‘blue and yellows’, Vitaliy Kalinichenko, he failed to overcome the qualifying stage, finishing in 53rd place.

Marusiak successfully passed the first round of the main competition, finishing in the top 30. For his jump of 202.5 metres, the Ukrainian received 163.9 points — this result was enough to advance to the decisive stage of the tournament from the last qualifying place.

Yevhen managed to achieve his best result in the second round: the athlete flew 219 metres, receiving a score of 178.9 points. This result was the nineteenth among all jumpers at this stage. Our jumper finished in 25th place with a total of 342.8 points.
Slovenian Domen Prevc cemented his success by winning his second consecutive victory in the Ski Flying World Cup stages. With a score of 263.2 points, he demonstrated an impressive lead over his closest rival, Austrian Stefan Embacher, beating him by a solid 24.8 points.

It is worth noting that for Yevhen Marusiak, 25th place in Kulm, Austria, was a repeat of his best result in the current 2025/26 season. The Ukrainian achieved a similar position in mid-January on the large hill in Sapporo, Japan. Overall, this is Marusiak’s third time in the points in the current World Cup season: in addition to Sapporo and Kulm, he also finished 28th in the stage in Zakopane.
