After three years in the British capital, Ukrainian footballer Oleksandr Zinchenko is returning to the Dutch league. The defender of our national team is leaving London’s Arsenal to join Amsterdam’s Ajax.
The Dutch club has officially confirmed the transfer of the Ukrainian athlete. According to insiders, the move cost Amsterdam €1.5 million. The footballer’s contract is valid until the summer. For Zinchenko, this is a return to the Eredivisie, where he previously played on loan. Almost ten years ago, the Ukrainian defended the colours of PSV, playing 17 matches for the Eindhoven club.
Oleksandr Zinchenko’s football career at Arsenal began in the summer of 2022. He has played 91 official matches (8 goals). Before his final transfer to Amsterdam, the defender spent a short loan spell at Nottingham Forest (10 matches in the first half of the 2025/26 season).
