Ukrainian figure skater Kirill Marsak won gold at the Merano Ice Trophy tournament in Italy, setting a number of new personal records. This triumph was the athlete’s first successful performance after the recent 2026 European Championships, where he finished in the top eight, according to Sport Bet.
At the Italian tournament, the Ukrainian managed to surpass his previous record. Performing in the short programme, the figure skater received a record 78.21 points, surpassing his previous personal record by 1.29 points.
But the Ukrainian skater’s triumph did not end there: Marsak also finished the free programme with a personal record, scoring 176.17 points. Thus, the skater beat his previous best result by 25 points. Marsak also set his previous record at the European Championships (152.33 points).
After two programmes, Kirill Marsak scored a record 254.38 points, surpassing his previous result by 25.13 points. The Ukrainian demonstrated a convincing advantage over his rivals, beating the silver medallist, Italian Cory Siriselli, by more than 40 points, while the bronze went to Frenchman Corentin Spinard.

It is worth noting that this is the second award for our skater in international competitions this season. Before his triumph in Italy, Marsak won silver at the Volvo Open Cup tournament held in Latvia (Riga).
In addition, Kirill is the only Ukrainian diver who has earned the right to represent Ukraine at the Winter Olympics in Italy. However, the licence he obtained is not personal, so another participant may also go to the Olympics.
