Ukraine has officially secured representation in snowboarding at the 2026 Olympic Games. Following the qualifying period, which concluded at the World Cup in Bansko (Bulgaria), Annamari Dancha won the licence for the country.
The athlete took seventeenth place in the Olympic parallel giant slalom ranking with 465 points, according to Sport Bet.
In the 2025/26 season, our snowboarder demonstrated the highest results in her sporting career. Dancha approached the end of the selection in fairly good shape. In particular, in Davos, the Ukrainian almost won the bronze medal, losing only in the decisive race for third place. Her last successful performance before the Winter Olympics was reaching the quarter-finals at the stage in Bansko.
How the licences for the 2026 Olympics in women’s parallel giant slalom were distributed
Switzerland, Germany and Italy received four licences each. Austria and China received three licences each. Canada, the Czech Republic, Japan and Poland received two licences each, while Ukraine, Bulgaria, the United States, Slovenia and the Republic of Korea received one licence each.
