In the Ukrainian capital, as part of the Ukrainian hockey championship, the local team Kryzhinka-Capitalz faced off against Odeshchyna. The match between Kyiv and Odeshchyna took place on 15 January. Ukrainian hockey fans witnessed a fierce confrontation: the match turned into a real sporting drama with an unpredictable plot and a bright comeback by the hosts, according to Sport Bet.
The start of the match proved difficult for the Kyiv team. During the first period, the capital’s hockey players were looking for their rhythm, which Odeshchyna successfully took advantage of, going into the first break as leaders. However, this success for Odeshchyna was only a lull before a real ‘storm’ from the hosts.
Starting in the second period, Kryzhinka-Capitalz radically changed the course of the match: the team increased its aggression, speed and conversion of chances. The second and third periods were successful for the capital’s team. Thanks to coordinated defensive actions and sharp counterattacks, Kryzhinka not only equalised the score but also secured a significant advantage. The game ended with a confident 6-3 victory for the hosts.
However, the capital club does not have much time to celebrate. An even more serious test lies ahead. Soon, the Kyiv team will take to the ice to compete with another representative of the southern region — the powerful Odessa Storm.
