The Biathlon World Cup stage in Rupolding, Germany, began with the women’s relay. Our country was represented by Khristina Dmitrenko, Daryna Chalyk, Valeria Dmitrenko and Olena Gorodna, according to Sport Bet.
The race was intense for our four athletes. Khristina Dmytrenko started the race, once again confirming her status as a leader: her shooting was brilliant in terms of accuracy and speed. Even with two extra cartridges, Khristina passed the baton in a high 11th position with a working gap of 35 seconds.
Daryna Chalik then took over the baton, also using two spare cartridges. At the halfway point of the race, our team moved up to 15th place.
Valeria Dmitrenko managed to maintain this position. Lera completed her stage with maximum concentration, demonstrating fast shooting (although the athlete still needed two ‘extra’ rounds).
Olena Gorodna closed the race, and her performance became a real highlight of the final for the Ukrainian team. Olena demonstrated the best accuracy among the women, using only one extra cartridge. It was this composure at the firing line that allowed her to move up one position and pull the national team into fourteenth place overall.
