American hockey player Alex Tuck, winger for the NHL club Buffalo Sabres, was born on 10 May 1996 in Syracuse, New York, USA.
From 2014 to 2016, he played for the Boston College Eagles. Alex Tuck signed his first professional contract with the Minnesota Wild NHL club in 2016. He played mainly for the Iowa Wild farm club, but still played six games in the NHL. It is worth noting that the player did not score any goals at that time.
In May 2017, the hockey player signed a contract with the league’s newcomer, the Vegas Golden Knights. In his first season, Alex Tuck played 77 regular season games, scoring 37 points. With his club, Alex reached the Stanley Cup final, losing to the Washington Capitals. In that playoff, he played twenty games, scoring ten points. In early autumn 2018, he extended his contract with the Knights for seven years, worth $33 million.
As a result of a major trade on 4 November 2021, Alex Tuck and Peyton Krebs, along with first-round (2022) and third-round (2023) draft picks, were traded to the Buffalo Sabres for forward Jack Eichel and a third-round pick in the 2023 draft.
In October 2022, Tuck scored his first career hat trick in a game against the Calgary Flames. The Sabres won the game 6-3.
In December 2023, he had four assists in a game against Toronto. The game ended with a score of 9-3.
International career
In 2013 and 2014, Alex Tuck played for the US junior national team. As part of the team, he won bronze in 2013 and gold the following year. A year after winning gold for the junior team, he was called up to the youth team, but did not achieve any significant results: the team finished in 5th place, leaving him without a medal. He has never played for the national team.
