Two Ukrainian pairs started the 2025 Women’s Beach Volleyball World Championships. The matches ended in victories.
At the World Championships in Australia, the country is represented by Tetiana Lazarenko, Daria Romaniuk, and Angelina Khmil, who plays with Valentina Davydova.
Both pairs started the competition with victories. Romanyuk and Lazarenko were stronger than the Paraguayan duo Amarilla-Corales: 21:17, 21:15.
Davydova and Khmil defeated the Dutch pair of Desi Poes and Mila Konink, losing the first set: 18:21, 21:14, 15:8.
After the first round, both Ukrainian duos entered the top 2 of their groups in the tournament tables.
The Ukrainian athletes will play their next matches on Saturday, 15 November.
