Who is the favourite for the European Championship
The main favourite for Euro 2025 is the reigning world champions, the Spanish national team. The Spaniards also recently won the Nations League.
They are immediately followed by the reigning European champions from England, who are considered strong competitors in the fight for the European title.
Germany also has a chance, despite the elimination of top clubs Bayern unich and VfL Wolfsburg from the Champions League.
After all, the German team won a bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Two non-European teams reached the final – the United States and Brazil.
The mascot of the 2025 European Championships is the St Bernard puppy Muddy. The mascot was named in honour of Madeleine Ball, who became the first woman to receive a football licence in Switzerland.
As a reminder, in 2024, Germany hosted the European Men’s Football Championship.
