On 31 May, Paris Saint-Germain and Internazionale will meet in the UEFA Champions League final at the Allianz Arena.
PSG
The club from the French capital won its last Champions League match, defeating Arsenal in the semi-finals with a 3-1 aggregate score. It was the Londoners who managed to get past Real Madrid, who won the Champions League last year over Borussia Dortmund.
The team from Paris won 1-0 in the first leg, while PSG snatched a 2-1 victory in the return leg at home. Fabian Ruiz and Ashraf Hakimi scored the goals in the return leg. They have four consecutive wins in all competitions.
Ousmane Dembele has been PSG’s key player in the Champions League in attack. The striker is the team’s top scorer with eight goals, two of which were decisive first-half goals.
In this season’s Champions League, PSG have found it difficult to win at home: five wins, one draw and only two defeats in eight matches. The Parisians will try to extend their three-match home win streak in all competitions.
In the last six matches in all competitions, the French club won five and lost one. During this period, they have scored 14 goals and conceded five, scoring first in four of the six matches. They scored six goals in the first half, while their opponents scored three times in the first 45 minutes.
Inter
AC Milan won the last Champions League match in the semi-finals, beating Barcelona of Catalonia with a total score of 7-6. The teams drew 3-3 in the first leg, but the Italians won the return leg at home with a 4-3 victory in extra time.
The Nerazzurri scored once in the extra period. Four players scored in the victorious return leg. In the last six matches in all tournaments, the Italians have not suffered defeats.
In the last meeting between the teams in August 2023, Inter won 2-1.
Lautaro Martinez has been Inter’s main attacking threat, scoring nine times in this Champions League campaign, including four times opening the scoring. The Argentine ranks fifth in terms of goals scored in the competition in the 2024/2025 season.
Both teams have found success in the final third of their Champions League matches, as the visitors have found the back of the net in eight consecutive games and the hosts have opened the scoring in their last five games in the competition.
With four wins, two draws and just one defeat at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, AC Milan have enjoyed an excellent record in their away games this campaign. The Italians are currently on a three-match unbeaten run on the road.
In their last six matches, Inter have won four and drawn twice. They have scored 14 and conceded eight goals in that span, with all six games coming on the front foot. The majority of their goals (eight) were scored in the first half, while their opponents scored twice before the break.
