The last time these teams met in Serie A, Roma won 2-1 at the Stadio Olimpico in September. Brian Cristante scored the first goal for the Giallorossi in the 74th minute. Niccolo Pisilli also scored. Joel Pohjanpalo scored the only goal for Venice in the 44th minute.

In the 2024/2025 season, Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk was Roma’s most productive player. He scored eight times, including four goals in the opening game.
