An interesting game will take place at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich on 14 November.

Swiss national football team

The Swiss did not get any results in this round of the tournament. The team unexpectedly ended up in last place in the group.
With two matches remaining, this means that the hosts can still qualify for the knockout stages at best, while any victory in this match against Serbia will mean relegation from Group A4.

Murat Yakin’s men failed to create a large number of scoring chances in this cycle, scoring only three goals. It was the poor defensive performance that got in the way in this tournament. The hosts have conceded a total of ten goals – a tally only surpassed by Israel (13) and Azerbaijan (11) – and have allowed 2+ goals in each of their last four international matches in a row.
Bril Embolo has been in excellent form for Monaco recently, scoring four goals in his last five games (two goals, two assists). He also scored against Serbia at the 2022 World Cup.

Switzerland is one of only two countries to have received multiple red cards in this Nations League draw prior to this match (two).

Serbia national football team

Since qualifying for the 2024 UEFA European Championship in June, Serbia has struggled to score goals, scoring a total of just three goals in the seven matches mentioned above. The Balkans are also still in poor form away from home, having lost six of their last eight away games, which is likely to pose an additional problem.

Aleksandar Mitrovic, meanwhile, will be looking to score his 60th goal for Serbia in Zurich, the last of which came in a 2-0 win over Switzerland last month.

Switzerland vs Serbia prediction

The hosts still have to overcome the opponent in times of failure. The Balkans can respond sharply, so expect more goals in the match.

Victory for the first team

Earlier, the Italian national team defeated Belgium in the Nations League.
